  TWB DAY 19

The Dopey Group sporting their USA hockey jerseys!

Today we celebrated Sara Williamson's Birthday!

Day 19: Dopey Group
Lucas Ward, Crimens Clifford, Allan Gandy, Jacob Belk, Katey Bozorth, Ryan Childress, Cati Dial, Abbey Spoon, Ashley Gibbings, Ethan Haithcox, Hillary Kindschuh, Cayli Meizel, Caleb Shelton, Stewart Smith

We woke up this morning at the Custer YMCA, which happened to be the largest outside support log cabin building in the world. We left the Y at 6:15 and got on the road to Colorado.
We were actually allowed to fall asleep on the bus and vans since we didn't keep Grant awake the night before (FYI: If you keep Grant awake, he'll drink four Red Bulls, keep everyone awake all day, and play the Inspector Gadget Techno remix over and over again).
Six and a half hours and four stops later, we arrived at the Air Force Academy where we toured the spectacular three denominational chapel and pristine campus.
After the USAFA visit, we headed to the Olympic Training Center. As soon as we arrived, it began to rain, and by the time we left it was hailing (the size of marbles)!! We are all looking forward to tomorrow because we are driving through the wheat fields of Kansas (Bob's favorite).
We are now at Colorado College where we will have a comfortable, dry night indoors. For dinner, we had a special treat PIZZA!
Everyone is sweaty and ready for bed after our awesome group dance competitions. The Happy Group took the lead for the competition. The counselors surprised us with a dance of their own. Lauren and Kitch provided the excellent choreography and Grant and Bob shocked everyone by breaking out in Speedos!
There is one pay phone, there are community showers, and the walls are perfect for a dangerous game of wall ball. It is going to be a wild night!

A note from Kitch and Lauren:

Everybody dance now, da, da, dada, da, da, dada!!! The dance competitions were hilarious, awesome, creative, fantastic some of the best we've ever seen! After seeing guys dressed up like girls and vice versa, as well as the worm, soul trains, dance battles, booty shakin, the running man, and even the dolphin (that was our move), our stomachs are aching from laughing so hard. The dance competition proved that each one of our TWB participants have let down their shy walls and let their true personality shine. We are so excited that our trip has allowed us to grow as close as a family. The dancing was a fabulous way to top of our remarkable day together. We look forward to our last four days together and can't wait to see just how much closer we will all become.

Bob saw this town and had to take a picture!

The four counselors of the year with their 4th of July attire on. Looking Good!

Trying out our chapel pose in front of the Air Force Academy Chapel.

Check out how beautiful it is inside of the chapel.

Some of our group decided to try out for the USA bobsled team. Cool Runnings!

We had to hang out at the Olympic Training Center for a bit to wait out the rain and marble size hail outside.

The winner of the dance contest--the Happy Group!

The following pictures are each group during the dance contest. Warning!!! Some of these girls are really guys!!!

I think we picked up these guys in San Francisco. The dance contest brings out the wild side in everybody!
